Levels In The Knowledge Of God

Introduction
There are several levels in the knowledge of God. If you are not spiritually enlightened, you may not know this. That is why majority are hypocrites without knowing it, and why many end up in the hell fire when they expected to be admitted into the heavenly kingdom.
You should strive, steadily, to grow in spirit and in truth. The more you known about God, the better for you. The Holy Spirit relates with each person according to his level in spirituality. A clear knowledge of the levels in relationship with God makes you wiser and lets you know your current level and the next level.
         The levels are as follows:
  1. Hearing about God.
About 99% of the world populations hear about God. People hear about God through sermon, preaching, discussions, teaching or by reading about God.

  2. Believing in the existence of God.
Majority of the world population believe in the existence of God. They have never seen God and would not be able to recognize Him or identify His presence. For example, the Israelites boasted on the fact that they were children of Abraham and trusted in their great temple built by King Solomon. But, when the same God visited them in the person of Jesus Christ, they could not recognize Him. The best they could do was to reject and kill Him.
Thanks be to God, who turns our worst aspects and actions into the best. Most of the people and religions that claim to know God, do not know God. They only believe that God exists. Their belief in God is counted as righteousness.
However, some people do not believe that God exists. Such people are called atheists. Atheists do not go to heaven, and they are severely punished in hell.

  3. Having faith in God.
To have faith in God means to know what God has said and to do it. It is quite disappointing that people do not have faith in God. That is why majority are hypocrites. Inside the church, they appear good and righteous to the eyes, but when they leave the church, they forget everything God has said and live as they like. Hence, business engagements are full of frauds, examinations are full of malpractices, personal relationships are wrongly determined by selfishness, and the numerous religions are nothing but the multiplicity of idolatry. And what many call faith is nothing but stubbornness. - The persistent refusal to do what God has said

  4. Seeking God.
Jesus said, “Seek the kingdom of heaven and all things shall be added unto you”. Again, He said, “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free”.
The real problem in the world is that people are neither seeking for the truth nor seeking for God. They are more interested in receiving blessings. To be receiving God’s blessings without seeking for God is like stealing what belongs to another person. It is like stealing because when many people get blessings and prosperity, they forget about God, stop participating in religious activities, and even fight against God and His church. But, as soon as they get into trouble or lack the good things of life, they start seeking the face of God. Only to abandon Him again once things get better. That is foolishness.
Such people are like the parable of the useless child, who is worse than the prodigal son. They are worse than the prodigal son because of two reasons. One, the prodigal son went astray once and repented. But, the useless child keeps going astray from time to time. Two, a prodigal son was wasteful and not useless. At least, he was able to return his heart to his father. Contrary to this, the useless child refuses to return to his father. That is why Jesus said concerning such people, “They honour me with their mouth, but their hearts are far away from Me.” They are the hypocrites you hear and read about in the Bible. And there are so many hypocrites today.

  5. Hearing God.
Many people hear God without seeing Him. Often, they say, “I heard a voice”. Moses was a very good example. He heard the voice of God at the burning bush. Also, he desired to see God. Today, majority do not desire or pray to see God. Instead, they believe what the Devil tells them, that it is not possible to see God. To believe that it is not possible to see God is sin and it leads to hell fire. Is there anything wrong in a child seeing his father? Certainly, none.

  6. Seeing the brightness of God.
When people pray in earnest, God can come down in their midst. When that happens, they see only brightness, which they call the glory of God. In other words, what people call the glory of God is God himself, only that people are not yet spiritually mature enough to see God clearly.

When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. 2 And the priests could not enter the house of the LORD, because the glory of the Lord had filled the LORD's house. 3 When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the LORD, saying: "For He is good, For His mercy endures forever." 2 Chronicles 7:1-3

I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Isaiah 6:1-2

  7. Seeking the body of God, without seeing His face.
What a person sees and experiences in spirit depends on his spiritual level. And his spiritual level depends on his personal efforts and interest in spiritual science. That is why the word of God is one. Yet, its interpretations are many, diverse and true. The hindrance today is that people, including ministers of God, do not know that they should study and practice spiritual science. How can they be teaching about spirit, without learing about spirit?

  8. Seeing God’s face.
This is both possible and real.

Beware of those who tell you that
it is not possible to see God.
    Your belief is a key.
It either opens the door for you,
    or locks you out!
All because Spirit is a Highly Sensitive Essence.
It responds to you according to your belief.

To see God means to see Him sitting on His throne, to see Him moving, and to watch Him doing things.

  9. Experiencing God.
To experience God means God enters into your body and spirit. Then, you speak as God speaks, hear as God hears, see as God sees, and move as God moves. For example, when God enters into my body and spirit,

  10. Becoming God.
When Mosses saw God for a long time, he became transformed into the nature of God, just like in the transfiguration of Jesus Christ.

33 And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. 34 But whenever Moses went in before the LORD to speak with Him, he would take the veil off until he came out; and he would come out and speak to the children of Israel whatever he had been commanded. 35 And whenever the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone, then Moses would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with Him. Exodus 34:32-35

1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!" 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Jesus came and touched them and said, "Arise, and do not be afraid." 8 When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. Matthew 17:1-8

  11. Attaining oneness with God.
When this happens, you become one with God. That is why Jesus often said, “the Father and I are one.” God’s will becomes your will, and whatever you say or do is no longer yourself doing so, but God Almighty doing His work in you, as you, for you and through you for others. Glory be to God who is diverse and perfect in His ways. He animates and dominates all things. He has complete control over the entire universe, and He relates to each and everyone with undivided attention. He is one but not solitary, unity in multiplicity, and yet, undivided in numbers.

8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."
9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me ? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me , or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. John 14:8-11
